Water Keeps You Running Smoothly

Drinking water is one of the biggest benefits you can give your body.  Water can help ward off fatigue; it can help keep away back aches; it will help you over the mid-afternoon tiredness; it keeps charlie horses away.

You can drink water when you feel hungry to quench that desire to eat.  Often times hunger pangs are really thirst pangs so drink eight ounces of water and see if they go away. Water is part of anything we drink but drinks that contain caffeine are diuretics and will actually cause you to lose water, sodium and other nutrients your body needs to stay in tip top shape.  Sweet drinks will also increase your thirst because your body draws from its own supply of water to dilute them.

If you want to lose weight; drink more water.  You need to drink regularly and more than just a sip or two. You actually need two ounces of water for each ounce of weight you carry.  As you begin to lose the weight adjust the amount of water you drink accordingly.  If you don't drink enough water your body can't flush waste products out.

Drinking plenty of water will give you healthier skin; it will help your bowels stay regular; it can reduce your risk of disease; it will keep your body temperature regular; and it will help reduce your risk of heart attack.

Drinking water has these and more benefits; but, how much is enough.  One theory is that you need to drink eight ounces of water every 24 hours no matter how big you are.  Another theory is that you should drink enough to keep you from getting thirsty; that might be eight ounces or it could be more or less.  The choice is yours but one thing to remember is; if you're thirsty, drink enough water to quench that thirst.
